Our next Alpha course will begin on Wednesday 11 September 2024, 7pm - 9pm.

Please email Helen on colneschurches@gmail.com or Rev Mark on colnesvicar@gmail.com if you would like to come along. The course is over 11 weeks (not as long as it sounds!) and includes one Saturday away. We will share a light supper together at 7pm before starting at 7.30pm.

On the course we watch a series of videos on different subjects such as Who Was Jesus, How to Read the Bible and Does God Heal today. It is a safe space to ask any questions that you have (no question is too small or silly), we have shared some incredible moments with those that we have already walked alongside and would love to share some more with you.

Following a period of listening and discernment which started when Bishop Guli became Bishop of Chelmsford in 2021, our Diocese has begun to set out its future direction of travel with a focus on Travelling Well Together

Lent Course

Based on the film, the novel and the stage adaptation of Victor Hugo’s Les Miserables. Through discussion of some of the themes and principal characters of this epic narrative, the course explores the grace of God, alongside our fallen state and opportunities for redemption. It asks us to reassess what we can do with our lives, both for ourselves, and for those around us.

Five sessions.

Choose from:

Wednesdays 7.30-9pm at Cloth Fair from Wednesday, 21 February 2024 OR
Thursdays 2-3.30pm at the Vicarage from Thursday 22 February 2024.

ALSO, come and watch the film on Friday, 9 February at St Andrew’s, Earls Colne at 6.30pm.
